Psychodynamic therapy offers space to explore the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may be difficult to understand on your own. Together, we look beneath the surface of what you are experiencing and consider how past experiences and relationships may be shaping how you feel, think, and relate to yourself and others.
My approach is relational, which means that the relationship we build together is an important part of the therapeutic process. A consistent, confidential, and non-judgemental space can allow you to speak openly, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and begin to make meaningful changes in your life.
Therapy can be short-term or longer-term, depending on your needs and what you hope to explore. We will discuss this during our initial assessment and review it together as the work develops.
Sessions are usually weekly, providing the consistency and continuity that can support meaningful therapeutic work. When appropriate, we can drop this down.
Therapy is not about forcing yourself as quickly as possible. We can work at a pace that feels manageable, paying attention to what is happening for you now as well as what may sit underneath it.

You may have had therapy before and found yourself wondering why it wasn't making a difference. Perhaps you felt you were simply talking without getting anywhere, or that the focus stayed on managing symptoms rather than understanding what was underneath them.
Finding the right therapeutic relationship matters.
Our initial consultation gives us an opportunity to talk about what you're looking for and whether the way I work feels like a good fit.

This work goes beyond coping strategies:
explore the deeper patterns that shape your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships.
